The 1948 CMC cab-over-engine (C.O.E.) truck was the pride and joy of the GMC Truck and Coach Division of General Motors Corp, which produced a variety of commercial use trucks, both for heavy duty and lighter work. The 1948 GMC C.O.E. was highly popular because it could carry various loads of different weights and it was designed with distinctive and handsome styling.
